Pitch Filmidee
Run by Nederlands Filmfonds (Netherlands Film Fund)
Before the Netherlands Film Fund accepts a script development request for a feature, animated feature or long documentary, the idea has to win over a five-member panel in a short pitch. Producers register their teams, while writers with a produced feature can pitch a fiction idea on their own.

- Who can apply
- Producers register for features and long documentaries; the company must be a legal entity based for at least two years in the Netherlands, the EU, the EEA or Switzerland and have made at least one majority Dutch feature. For a feature or animated feature, a writer who was lead screenwriter on at least one released feature or long animation (over 60 minutes) may pitch alone. Ideas must be new to the fund and for a majority Dutch film; up to ten projects per person per year.
- Prizes
- No money at this stage. A positive result (three or more of five panel votes) opens the door to an application for script development funding, which it does not guarantee.

What it gives besides money
A pitch to five independent panel members from film and the wider cultural sector, whose spoken feedback can be used in the later development application. A project that fails can pitch again in a later round.
