For Israeli filmmakers on a first or second feature documentary, this evening lab in Tel Aviv takes a project from early synopsis to a package ready for funds and broadcasters. It has run for 15 years, adds a trailer grant this round, and ends with a pitch at the Jerusalem Film Festival in summer 2027. Work is in Hebrew.

- Who can apply
- Filmmakers aged 18 or over who live permanently in Israel and are making their first or second feature documentary (over 52 minutes): graduates of film, media or art schools, or creators with experience. One project per applicant; projects already backed by another film fund are excluded. Those accepted must join the Israeli Documentary Forum.

- Each selected project gets a NIS 4,500 development grant toward producing a trailer.

- Online form with a synopsis of up to 100 words and the project file. Three readers make a first cut, then shortlisted applicants meet the lab leader.

What it gives besides money
Ten weekly evening group sessions in Tel Aviv plus three extra enrichment meetings from January 2027, close mentoring from lab manager Asaf Lapid and mentor Itamar Alkalai, a trailer editing workshop, and pitch training before a pitching event at the Jerusalem Film Festival in summer 2027.
