Nordic NEST 2027
Run by MOIN Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, FFA and the five Nordic film institutes
Ten established writers, five from Germany and five from the Nordic countries, spend five January days with Le Groupe Ouest on early ideas for features or high-end series, then pitch them to producers at Göteborg Film Festival. Ideas that gain a German and a Nordic producer receive treatment money, and three continue to script funding.

- Who can apply
- Established writers from Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland or Iceland with at least two commercially released features or series (or series episodes). Bring an early idea for a fiction feature or high-end series, with no script and no financing yet, and be free for both the January week and the Göteborg dates.
- Prizes
- Each idea that ends matchmaking with both a German and a Nordic production company gets up to EUR 20,000 of treatment funding from MOIN. After the treatment phase (March and April 2027) three projects receive up to EUR 60,000 more for the script.

What it gives besides money
A five-day working week led by Le Groupe Ouest, then presentations to 20 producers from Germany and the Nordic countries at Göteborg Film Festival and a guided matchmaking workshop. Travel, lodging and meals are paid for the January week; travel, meals and lodging on the Nordic NEST days are paid in Göteborg. Finished projects are presented at FilmFest Hamburg 2027.
