Benidorm's short film festival holds a contest for unproduced short scripts written in Spanish or Valencian, with EUR 1,500 for the winner. Finalist scripts can go on the festival site for producers to read. The 2020 winner, Papá está de viaje, was later shot as París 70 and reached the Oscar shortlist for live-action shorts.
