Experienced screenwriters with at least two years of tax residence in the Canton of Zurich can apply in their own name for script development money or a work grant. The film foundation reviews requests in separate fiction, nonfiction and animation commissions, each with its own dates through 2027.

- Who can apply
- Experienced screenwriters whose tax residence has been in the Canton of Zurich for at least two years. Fiction writers need a long fiction film (60 minutes or more) that finished shooting with them as lead writer; documentary and animation writers need the equivalent credit. Applicants must be independent of broadcasters, media companies and training institutions, and apply as a person even if they run a sole proprietorship.
